A Family Community

In 1999, David and Nancy Cleave (Davin Corporatoin) purchased Prince Edward Heights from the government and created what is now known as Macaulay Village. The Cleaves carried The Village forward to a Plan of Subdivision.  The lots the homes sit on were severed and can now be purchased as individual homes!  You own the house and the land!!

Macaulay Village is a well established family neighbourhood.  The Recreational Outreach Centre (The ROC) runs it's programs from the community centre.   School busses come to the Village for all local public schools and we have Gargbage pick-up and Recycling  from the County.

Macaulay Village is a nice sized community of 232 homes with 56 serviced empty lots for new home building.  It is a  freehold community:   you own your own home and land on a completely severed lot with municipal streets and municipal services.  Wide lots!   Roomy bedrooms!  Extra large windows! And hardwood floors throughout most  homes. There is an abundance of mature trees throughout the village, as well as new sidewalks and newly paved roads.  The Village is surrounded by Macaulay Conservation Area.  You have the best of both worlds:  live in the country with lots of open space and access to trails and parkland but with  the security and peace of mind of  municipal water, sewer and roads.  All this just 3 minutes from Downtown Picton!

RENT - TO - OWN:  being a homeowner is one of the best wealth-building tools available.  This is your opportunity to home ownership.  With Rent-to-Own you accumulate a down payment credit toward the purchase of your own home at Macaulay Village while you rent! With Rent-to-Own  you pay your monthy rent, and a portion of the rent goes toward your down payment for your house purchase.  You build up your down payment while living in the house you want to buy.   Call 613-476-9084 ext 3 for details.
